Our Story: An Ongoing Journey
Mayita’s Café began with a connection to Honduras, a love of coffee, and a long-term vision for our family property in Jesús de Otoro, Intibucá.
That vision will not be achieved all at once. It is a journey—beginning with carefully selected Honduran coffee, growing through honest relationships with producers and trusted industry partners, and ultimately returning to the land where we hope to grow coffee of our own.
We are documenting that journey one chapter at a time.
Chapter 1: The Vision Takes Root
The original vision behind Mayita’s Café: Honduran coffee today, stronger producer relationships tomorrow, and a responsibly developed family coffee farm for the future.
Chapter 2: Building the Foundation
The first steps toward turning the vision into a working business—from establishing Mayita’s Café and building its online home to evaluating Honduran coffees, suppliers, roasters, and fulfillment partners.
Chapter 3: From Selection to the First Roast
After evaluating multiple Honduran coffees and potential partners, Mayita’s Café has selected Finca Bethel for its first release and begun developing a custom roast profile—with a limited Christmas 2026 release as the goal.
More chapters will be added as meaningful milestones are reached.
